take, a marketplace where you can find several local businesses offering interesting cash-backs you can pay for your next meal and get cash-back right after paying with the app. Improved friction between the trailer connector and cab and a slightly more firmly attached waist piece would make this figure absolutely *perfect*. Users of the 'take' app have the freedom to choose either to pay using fiat, crypto, or takecoin.Users who pay using takecoin will always get a higher cash-back rate. Material: Plastics (ABS/POM/PVC etc.) Item Type: Transformer Toys Scale: Masterpiece Reference: Optimus Prime. The way they're going, they're gonna pull a Meteor EX and finally release the remaining coneheads right when Hastak and Deformation release theirs, and lose again.I am beyond hyped for the full Autobot-coloured Thunder Manus that's due later this year. Because due to the main and tail wing transformation on those designs, plus the conehead, I think it will be no small task to make a good conehead from those base figures. I mean, people keep holding their breath for an official conehead MP version 2.0, or Deformation version, but I think it'll be a while. And they've already been working on Coneheads for a while now, and honestly, I think they should really get on those because at least there's very little competition there currently. Like I have Meteor and Screamer, and its a fine mold, but even though its not that old, its definitely starting to lose its luster against MP52 and DS-01. I'm guessing they're having issues, as they haven't had a new product in a while, and maybe these seeker releases and re-releases are an attempt to build up capital to get back in the black. At such a low quantity, they're more likely to be grabbed up quickly by scalpers who will just flip it on ebay.Īnd its more frustration than resentment, because I don't understand what's going on with them. Its like at least make it in the triple digits, because surely they'll get better profit margins at that quantity than less than 50 and give good vibes to more people, who in turn will sing their praises. And not even in a "I want this, give it to me!" sort of way, more in a how can you choose to miss out on easy money sort of way. Making it super exclusive just foments resentment towards a company already not selling what people want (you want to complete your coneheads, here's some random seeker repaints, including a generic seeker!), particularly as an exclusive to a vendor that let's be honest doesn't have the best reputation on here despite the amount of business they get.Ĭlick to expand.Oh, like I said, I fully agree its not on them to make everybody happy, but if its really only about a dozen or two, its still a little annoying. Like sure, they don't make anything off people buying Erebus aftermarket to go with this, but if they make it people will buy it. Like they general release this, even as an add on to an "old" mold they'll get a lot of buyers. (to be fair, I'm pulling those numbers out of nowhere, so I'm prolly being a little hyperbolic)Īnd I don't even think that price is steep at all! (I don't get the complaints about it being "unpainted", its black, just like Erebus, they don't want to give the combined form mismatched coloring on the legs and wings!) I mean, Erebus was $100 when it came out like 5 years ago, but its going for almost twice that now, so $100 now doesn't seem that crazy. But it doesn't even sound like they're making enough for even 5% of owners. That being said, they're definitely leaving money on the table here- they have a good estimate of demand, as they know how many Thunder Erebus out there, and I bet at least 75% of people who actually own this would want this. So ideally, they make just under the number of people who would ever want one. Well, technically, they made their money because they've already sold to the vendors, but it doesn't look good for later when they're trying to sell new stuff and vendors still have leftover product. Now, I was talking with my friend about this last week, and to be fair, Make Toys is in the business of making money, not making sure everyone who wants one has one, because if they over-estimate, they waste money on making shelfwarmers. Like with Fans Hobby, sometimes they have a Wheelblade situation, and sometimes they have a people up in arms they didn't get one Pyro situation. Its one thing for companies to do a limited run edition of a specific deco, because they don't know how well it will be received. Click to expand.Ugh, when you posted about this dropping in the other thread, I thought Make Toys finally came to their senses and finally decided to general release this.
